Our History: More Than 20 Years In The Making

Glenn Arbour Academy was established more than 20 years ago with a vision of creating a small, academically focused school where students would be known personally and supported as individuals. The school opened with a modest enrollment and quickly developed a reputation for strong academics, close relationships, and a nurturing learning environment.

Over the years, the school steadily grew, welcoming families from across Burlington and surrounding communities and establishing itself as a respected presence in the local independent school landscape.

This foundation of excellence was recognized through multiple community honours, including:

• Reader’s Choice Award (Diamond Level) for Best Private School in Burlington
• TD Friends of the Environment Award
• Jane Goodall “Citizens for a Greener Community” Award for Greenest School in Burlington

In 2025, the school entered a new chapter under new ownership, marking a period of renewal and reinvestment focused on strengthening governance, enhancing academic programming, and modernizing operations while preserving the values on which the school was built.
